African-American books and authors are our specialty: fiction, nonfiction, self-help, metaphysics, mysteries, Egyptology, Pan African, spiritual, science fiction, self-published and hard to find books. Pyramid Books Editing Services is available to aspiring and published writers. Pyramid Books celebrates Black History Month 365 days a year to educate all people about the African Diaspora. A proud Essence and NY Times reporting store. We stand for Hope and Possibility in the book industry.

Pyramid Books opened in June 1993 in Boynton Beach. As an African-American owned and operated bookstore, Pyramid Books specializes in new books, offering a wide array of categories matching the Afrocentric interests of its customers. Pyramid Books is a community bookstore, therefore it also appeals to educators. In addition to fiction and nonfiction, self-help, mysteries, spiritual, science fiction, urban, self-published and small press books among others, we meet the needs of local school districts. Pyramid Books also partners with these districts to sponsor book fairs and conferences to promote literacy. Appearances by renowned authors and illustrators for different ages have drawn considerable crowds. 

We coordinated the Author Showcase for the State Of The Black Union with Tavis Smiley seen on CSPAN, And in 2002, we helped coordinate the Authors Showcase for the Black Caucus of African American Librarians’ national conference. Pyramid Books also partners with the African American Research Library and Cultural Center in Fort Lauderdale to sponsor the Pan African Bookfest and Cultural Conference and other literary events throughout the year.                         

Pyramid Books celebrates Black History Month 365 days a year to educate all people about the African Diaspora;educating and expressing to the world the beauty and culture of a great people. We have a great selection and knowledge of the titles we provide and recommend.
